Since completing a degree course in Textiles and Design at West Surrey College of Art, Gaynor has been working in textile design.  She was drawn to stained glass work by the vibrancy of colour and the patterns and textures which she can paint into the glass then fire her kiln. This has led to many years of creating commission pieces for private individuals, enhancing and giving character to their homes with her work.

 

Gaynor has done a number of private commissions for windows and doors. Each design is original and based on consultation with the client. A special commission is on display at The Padstow Lobster Hatchery, a piece created in memory of her father Eric, a founding director of the Charity.
